Chettinad Cement has been in operation for three generations. Chettinad Cement has expanded and demonstrated its adaptability in the cement product market since its inception in 1962 with a wet-process cement mill in Puliyur, near Karur
Chettinad Cement is a prominent cement supplier in southern India. It is the "glue" that holds many engineering, business, and residential projects together. Chettinad Cement has earned a name for itself in the southern cement business by innovatively connecting cement users' needs with its products and services.
Chettinad Cement's modern, modular manufacturing facility produces a wide range of cements, which are transported in huge numbers by its dependable fleet of road tankers.
Chettinad Cement provides a wide variety of bagged goods, including blended and ordinary Portland cements, to fit most building and construction needs under the Builders Choice brand. The Chettinad cement businesses have been providing high-performance materials that promote creativity and guarantee longevity to the construction sector for more than 40 years. Our dedication to offering customers the broadest selection of cements to attain the highest levels of inventiveness, adaptability, and integrity is growing along with the creative use of cementitious materials in masonry and concrete applications.
Portland cement and blended cement, among other premium components, are precisely measured and precisely blended in Chettinad Cements, which are produced under controlled conditions to provide dependable performance and constant quality.
Chettinad Cement has consistently upheld international standards and aimed for high-quality manufacture. The company is certified under ISO 9001/2008, ISO 14001/2004, and IS 18001/2007, and it has won numerous awards for its cement production. Its steady growth has occasionally been attributed to its reliable quality and client support.
Our Gray Ordinary Portland Cement is an excellent, reasonably priced building material that is mostly made of clinker, satisfies all relevant chemical and physical specifications, and is extensively utilized in the building of public, private, commercial, and industrial infrastructure. Chettinad cement is the outcome of our cement engineers and scientist’s meticulous study and development. It is specifically blended with high-quality cement that is engineered for use in all structural and building applications, with a focus on hydraulic and maritime construction, as well as good quality control monitoring systems. Chettinad Cement is incredibly simple to deal with and yields consistently good outcomes. Because of its reliable strength, adaptability, and consistent quality, builders, architects, engineers, and contractors choose it.
Then, through mixing or intergrinding Portland cement with additional cementitious ingredients like fly ash, blended hydraulic cements are created. In ready-mix concrete, blended cements minimize bleeding and mixing water, enhance workability and finishing, prevent sulphate attack and the alkali-aggregate reaction, and lower the heat of hydration. Blended cements can give concrete desired properties like a lighter color, increased workability, or a lower heat of hydration, depending on their constituents. Two elements that are frequently added to blended cements are fly ash from the power sector and slag from the steel industry. Blended cements support sustainable development by repurposing waste. For more than 20 years, we have produced blended cements.
Tri-calcium aluminate (C3A) content in Portland cement is limited to low values in SRPC. The distinct feature of Chettinad SRPC is its low C3A value. Wherever OPC is usable under normal circumstances, SRPC can be utilized for structural concrete. The application of Chettinad SRPC is more advantageous when concrete is immediately exposed to the sea and is prone to deterioration from sulfate assault.
PSC is created with a precise and consistent intergrinding of granulated slag, Portland cement clinker, and gypsum. Because of its special physical characteristics, cheltinad PSC is perfect for use in a range of attack-prone applications, such as construction in saltwater environments like those found along our coasts, soil areas, and sewage-prone areas. With the inclusion of additional cementitious components, Chettinad's blended cements have a lower clinker concentration and, as a result, a lower carbon footprint. Utilizing blended cements advances our goal of providing a wider choice of environmentally friendly solutions and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to sustainable practices.
Chettinad Cement Corporation Limited provides our clients with a range of services. Among these are a few: Choosing the right aggregates for the design of the concrete mix We assist our clients in determining the right size and kind of aggregates for a certain concrete job in order to create an economical concrete mix design. This is because using high-quality materials is essential to keeping project costs down.
We advise customers on the type or class of cement to be used, the maximum amount of cement per cubic meter of concrete, as well as the maximum water-to-cement ratio, the use of admixtures to modify the concrete's workability, etc., based on the structural strength required and the conditions in which the concrete will be used.
In order to protect our clients' interests, we always offer advice on how to store cement, handle and stack cement bags, prepare and treat cast concrete, and provide broad technical knowledge about cement, among other things.
Chettinad Cement values social responsibility and the environment. This is demonstrated by the installation of cutting-edge pollution control equipment at the plant. The company put another feather to its crown by installing and commissioning a massive, sophisticated, high-tech, and energy-efficient O & K cement mill, resulting in an exponential rise in production to reach the one million metric tons milestone.
The company has three integrated units in Tamil Nadu: Puliyur, Karikkali, and Ariyalur. The business is setting up one more cement mill in Kallur, Karnataka.
